Fujitsu S1300i ScanSnap Instant PDF Sheet-Fed Mobile Document Scanner

I love this scanner! When my all in one printer/scanner/fax was fried by lightning, I decided to pull out my old fax machine and replace the scanner with something more functional. I love the ease of scanning with the ScanSnap. I like being able to scan straight to Evernote - now I can scan all my business receipts and put them in the right digital notebook. I also like being able to use the two-sided scanning to my printer - much easier than making a copy on my old printer. It's making being organized a lot easier. Even when I get the receipt in a little crooked, ScanSnap usually straightens it out. The scan is fast, plus it doesn't take up much space in my office. I've scanned business receipts, papers I need copies of, even old family photographs and letters so I can save a copy to Evernote as a backup. No complaints on anything.

I've been using Evernote since 2008. My whole life is in Evernote. My credit card and bank statements go directly into Evernote via the File This-Fetch service. But my desk always has a pile of receipts and documents that I mean to scan, but never get around to. My Epson 545 printer scanner works great, but it's just a hassle. Scan the document, find the file, drag into Evernote. I just got the Fujitsu ScanSnap 1300i. With a press of the button, this scanner sends my documents right into Evernote. Searchable PDF files. Or I can send them right into Google Docs. Or make into a Word file. And more. I love it. I wish it functioned over the cloud and didn't have to be plugged into the USB port on my computer, like the Doxie scanner, but maybe in the future. I am super happy with this scanner.

Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 Instant PDF Sheet-Fed Scanner for PC

Price brought this level of speed and flexibility into range where I could justify the purchase. I was very happy with the installation and use of this scanner. Has increased the productivity of scanning in documents and detecting and scanning double sided documents automatically, a feature not available with my multifunction that included the scanning function I had used previously. Someone who does over 200 or so documents a month could justify this scanner. I saw it demonstrated at a national financial planning meeting by the Fujitsu rep. and determined this model was exactly what I needed at this price point. Highly recommended.

I love this scanner especially with having an account with Evernote. Like other reviewers, this scanner is very fast and accurate. I have my scans submitted directly to Evernote which will OCR them and be completely searchable - also all my docs are now available to me on my iPhone or iPad. Everything I was looking for and more. I now can wean myself from my filing cabinet at home.
